Clarity Counts is the practice of Victor Konijn as a natural evolution of his professional activities since 2013.
Victor is a professional engineer with a passion for people, specifically authenticity, inclusion, and intercultural diversity. He has over 33 years' experience of working in global corporate and entrepreneurial environments across Europe and in the USA, India, China, and Australia.
In his work Victor equips clients to act wisely on change that they desire or that is forced upon them - within a project, job, venture, organisation, relationship, or other aspect of their life. He works as a mentor, coach, mediator, facilitator, investigator, or conciliator. In all roles he helps his clients to unravel complexities, provide clarity, bridge perspectives, and create efficient practical pathways towards sustainable outcomes.
Originally from The Netherlands, Victor worked for 15 years in commercial and managerial corporate roles in various European countries and in the USA, India, and China before moving to Australia in 1998. In 2001 he embarked on an entrepreneurial path to channel his passions starting several businesses including his independent business-IT consulting company Plutonic Zoo till 2017; his ongoing mentoring, coaching, mediation, and facilitation practice Clarity Counts; his ongoing intercultural practice Australian Dutch Business Connect, and his ongoing hospitality venture Ocean Views Family-friendly Short-term Accommodation.
Victor is a certified neuroscience-based Results Coach, Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF), Cinergy Conflict Coach, nationally accredited Mediator (NMAS), accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFA), and practitioner of Compassionate Communication (or Non-Violent Communication™ NVC). He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (MSc, MSEE, Ir) from Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands.
Victor is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), practising professional member of the Australasian Association of Dispute Resolvers (PRI Med, Resolution Institute), and certified member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
Victor lives in Sydney, Australia with his wife and the youngest of their 3 children. He enjoys connecting with the local community through volunteer roles that have included over the years surf life saver, scouts group leader, youth football coach, high school youth mentor, primary school ethics teacher, and local government strategic adviser.
